Bigen Bursary Programme For 2025

Bigen invites South African students to apply for their 2025 Bursary Programme.

Application Deadline:

• Closing Date: 30 September 2024

Fields of Study:

Bursaries will be awarded for Engineering degrees related to Bigen’s services, which include:

• Environmental Services
• Financial Services
• Institutional Services
• Technical Services

Bigen aims to foster young engineering talent through their bursary program.

Bursary Coverage:

The bursary will cover the following expenses:

• Tuition fees
• Registration fees
• Books and other necessary expenses (Note: the bursary does NOT cover accommodation or residential fees)

Additional Benefits:

Bigen bursary recipients will also receive:

• Paid vacation work
• Regular communication
• Invitations to attend Bigen functions
• Inclusion in the Bigen Young Professionals Forum

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria before applying:

• Be a South African citizen
• Be studying towards an Engineering degree qualification
• Be enrolled at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
• Have achieved a minimum average of 70% in your first year of study
• Have achieved a minimum average of 65% in your second or third year of study
• Not be receiving any other bursary funding or NSFAS
• Demonstrate leadership acumen
