The Hexagon Trust is now accepting applications for its 2025 bursary program. This opportunity is available to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Commerce, Engineering, or Science.

What the Bursary Covers

The bursary offers financial support for:

  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Textbook allowance

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated on:

  • Academic performance
  • Financial need
  • Commitment to studies and a strong drive to grow their skills and reach their potential

Community Involvement

Bursary recipients are expected to contribute to community service during and after their studies. Additionally, all bursary holders will join the Hexagon Students Alumni Association to continue building networks and giving back.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must meet these minimum criteria:

  • South African citizen and 18 years or older
  • Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
  • Intending to pursue a first-year undergraduate qualification in Commerce, Engineering, or Science in 2025
  • Accepted into one of the following South African public universities:
    • Cape Peninsula University of Technology
    • Central University of Technology
    • Durban University of Technology
    • Mangosuthu University of Technology
    • Nelson Mandela University
    • North-West University
    • Rhodes University
    • Sefako Makgatho University
    • Sol Plaatje University
    • Tshwane University of Technology
    • University of Cape Town
    • University of Fort Hare
    • University of Johannesburg
    • University of KwaZulu-Natal
    • University of Limpopo
    • University of Mpumalanga
    • University of Pretoria
    • University of Stellenbosch
    • University of the Free State
    • University of the Western Cape
    • University of the Witwatersrand
    • University of Venda
    • University of Zululand
    • Vaal University of Technology
    • Walter Sisulu University
  • Minimum overall average of “C” symbol
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Strong work ethic, academic record, and commitment to community development
