Eligibility Criteria for the MBSA Bursary

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • South African Citizenship
  • Eastern Cape Residency (gives applicants an advantage)
  • MBSA Employee Children (given priority consideration)
  • Current Education Status:
    • Grade 12 Learners with a strong academic record
    • 1st Year University Students (given an advantage)
    • Full-time Students in specific fields of study

Preferred Fields of Study

Applicants should be pursuing or planning to study in one of the following areas:

  • Engineering: Computer, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics
  • Science & Technology: Information Technology, Software Development, Metrology, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (BSc)
  • Business & Finance: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics
  • Human Kinetics & Ergonomics
  • Metallurgy

Selection Criteria

Candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

  • Final Year Results: Will be reviewed for shortlisted candidates
