NSFAS Bursary 2025

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year. The application deadline is 15 December 2024. This bursary provides financial support for eligible South African students to study at public universities or TVET colleges.

Who Qualifies for NSFAS Funding?

To qualify, applicants must be:

• South African citizens or permanent residents
• SASSA grant recipients
• Households earning R350,000 or less per year (or R600,000 or less for students with disabilities)
• Able to provide an email address and cell phone number

What NSFAS Covers

NSFAS provides funding for the following:

• Accommodation
• Living allowance
• Learning material allowance
• Personal care allowance

Additional Funding for Specific Students

• UNISA Students: Funding covers tuition, books (based on registered modules), and a personal care allowance.
• Students with Disabilities: Additional support for assistive devices, meals, transport, human support, tuition, and accommodation.
