Shoprite Bursary Program:

Purpose of the Bursary: The Shoprite Bursary aims to attract and fund talented Chartered Accounting students to become part of the Company’s Finance team after the completion of their studies.

The Shoprite SAICA Trainee Accountant Programme provides trainees with exposure to the commerce industry across the business, academic support, and mentorship by our management team to ensure the development of well-rounded Chartered Accountants (CAs).

During the three-year Shoprite SAICA Trainee Accountant Programme, trainees receive the opportunity to rotate throughout the business and learn through on-the-job training. This ensures the best technical exposure to develop the prescribed SAICA learning outcomes in preparation for the SAICA APC exam.

Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting, BAcc (CA stream) degree
  • 65%+ Aggregate
  • Minimum 65% in Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing
  • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th academic year/ PGDA / CTA
  • SA citizen
  • 27 years old and younger
