The City of Johannesburg Municipality is now accepting applications for its Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. This initiative aims to provide educational opportunities for 200 youth residents of Johannesburg.

• Community Services
• Marketing
• Curatorial Studies
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Emergency Management Services/Disaster Management
• Municipal Governance
• Engineering (All Fields)
• Nursing (All Fields)
• Environmental Management
• Project Management
• Finance (All Fields)
• Public Relations & Administration
• Geo-Information Science

Eligibility Criteria for City of Johannesburg Bursary 2025

• Selection based strictly on academic merit
• Must study at an accredited South African tertiary institution
• Should not receive any other grants/bursaries/funding for study purposes
• The bursary is for qualifications of no less than one year
• Not applicable for postgraduate qualifications
• Renewable annually based on academic performance

What The Bursary Covers

• Tuition and registration fees
• Prescribed books and study material
• Limited to R40,000 per academic year
