Schauenburg Education Trust Bursaries Overview: The Schauenburg Education Trust awards bursaries to students pursuing scarce skills qualifications in Electrical Engineering (BEng or BSc) and Business Management/Business Administration (BCom) at selected universities in Gauteng.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to Black South African citizens under 35, with preference given to women and individuals with disabilities.
- Must be enrolled full-time in second, third, or fourth year of the specified degrees.
- Applicants must demonstrate good academic progress and pass all registered courses.
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must submit their Matric and tertiary academic records, South African ID, and a cover letter.
- Application deadline is 15 July 2024. Apply online or request a form from Thembeka Mpati or Megan Milburn.
Bursary Coverage:
- Covers 100% of university tuition, registration, and exam fees directly to the university.
- Includes accommodation at a rate determined by the Trust, textbooks, course materials, and living allowances.
Selection Process:
- Includes interviews and psychometric testing.
- Successful applicants will sign a written contract outlining terms and conditions.
Additional Information:
- Bursaries are not awarded to students receiving other bursaries in 2025.
- Selection based on merit, financial need, and Trust criteria.
- Trustees reserve the right to amend specified universities and terms of the bursary.
